Let’s start with walking if you have never done long distances walking before then the first thing you will need to buy is a descent pair of walking trainers. You would find a decent pair of walking trainers in professional shoe shops and get them fitted to your shoe size but make sure you walk about in them before buying. A good pair of shoes are very important not only for walking but for biking. I will give you an example of why it is important to buy good trainers. If you walk in any old pair of shoes you will find that after walking long distances your knee joints and feet will start hurting this is because the surface of the roads or foot paths your walking on. When buying the right trainers to walk in you will have none of the problems this is because the soul of the trainer is built to absorb the impact of the rough surface that you walk on so you feet and joints would not hurt and you will be able to walk on a regular basis.
Lets get started if you are new to long distance walking then you will just start of with a half an hour walk may be two to three times week. After a month or so you should start improving on your endurance and stamina so you should make your walk a bit longer each time you also would be walking three to five days a week to.
Now you would add in the cycling the way you would do this is for the first three days you would walk and the other two days you would cycle. Make sure you switch them around so that the second week you would be cycling for the first three days and walking the other two. If you do not want to do these exercises outdoor you can do both these exercises in the gym for walking you would use a treadmill and for cycling you would have an exercise bike.
